I want you to enter into this therapeutic relationship feeling confident, connected and safe. In order to achieve this, I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and my approach so you know who you’ll be sitting across from.
I enjoy hiking, camping and pretty much anything outdoors as well as crafting! I’m a BIG foodie and love comedy and learning new things. I also really truly love the work that I do and love getting to meet people authentically and help to navigate life’s vulnerable moments. I sincerely believe the most valuable thing in life is our relationships to ourselves and others and I feel honored to have chosen a career where I get to connect with so many individuals on such a sincere and authentic level.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety and panic attacks, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, disordered eating, perfectionism, confidence struggles, and the lingering impact of abuse or sexual assault. I also support people who feel overwhelmed or like they’re constantly falling short—even when they’re doing everything they can.
Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable, and deeply caring, yet feel exhausted by the pressure to keep everything together—managing past experiences, relationship stress, responsibilities, all while trying to keep loved ones happy and supported. The feeling of exhaustion that comes from giving everything you can while still feeling like it’s not enough can be overwhelming and isolating.
Sometimes what’s most needed is a space where you can finally take a breath—a place where you can show up exactly as you are, without having to meet anyone’s expectations, your own included. I place a strong emphasis on building a counseling relationship grounded in trust and authenticity on both sides. In my experience, the relationship itself matters most. It’s difficult to open up, be vulnerable, or do meaningful work together if you don’t feel like you know the person sitting across from you or genuinely feel comfortable with them.
My approach is trauma-informed and blends EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered therapy to help explore the patterns, beliefs, and experiences that may be affecting you, while creating space for new ways of understanding yourself.
I tend to be direct and gently challenging, while always remaining warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental. My hope is that this work allows you to explore yourself with curiosity and honesty while building a stronger sense of connection—to yourself, to others, and to the life you want to live. I graduated with a master of science degree and enjoy staying up to date on the latest research so you’ll often here me referencing studies that may relate to what you’re going through. Additionally, I enjoy bringing humor into a session when appropriate. Being able to laugh about ourselves, the world around us, or our past experiences can be so deeply healing in a non-judgmental, non-attacking space.
I also incorporate evidence-based somatic practices, such as mindfulness and body-based awareness, to help reconnect you with your thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences—especially during moments of anxiety or overwhelm. As we slow down and notice what is happening within us, it often becomes easier to understand the patterns shaping our lives and begin shifting them in a more supportive direction.
