MeetSavannah Fredde
A trauma therapist who believes lasting change comes from understanding the deeper patterns that shape us — not just sitting, nodding, and validating.
Real change, real support — for your healing journey.
The person sitting across from you when you share your story.
By now you’ve read through the site a bit, and you know what I’m all about when it comes to counseling — trauma therapy, building authentic therapeutic relationships, and helping individuals and couples work through all the ways life experiences have caused pain, strain, and challenge. Now I’d love to tell you a little about myself.
I’m someone people would describe as direct, kind, and (hopefully) funny. I have a deep love for adventure, nature, close friends, and animals. I feel very passionately about the things that matter to me, and I love to express myself through a variety of creative outlets. The things that drive me are the incredible people in my life, including the clients I have the privilege of working with.
I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and received my M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I began my career in research studying the effects of PTSD, then moved into forensic psychology working with the court systems. Eventually my husband, our beloved pets Harper and Eli, and I packed up and moved to Asheville, North Carolina. I loved the wildlife, mountains, hiking, and culture — but I was eventually called back to Austin to be closer to family. Today I split my time between Austin and Asheville, taking every opportunity to explore trails, nature, and people across the country and abroad.
While validation is an essential part of the therapeutic process, lasting change often comes from understanding the deeper patterns that affect us day to day. I genuinely love my work, and I enjoy blending humor, research, science, and the art of counseling to help people better understand themselves and create meaningful change.
I also understand how the constant drive to do more, achieve more, and care for everyone else can become a double-edged sword. I can relate to how incredible it feels to take on more and more — and how quickly that can lead to feeling drained and trapped by anxiety, self-criticism, and difficulty setting boundaries while trying to keep loved ones happy.
My goal is to offer a space where you can simply exist — where you can authentically explore who you are, reconnect with yourself, and feel understood without judgment. Together, we’ll make sense of the experiences that have shaped you, uncover the patterns that no longer serve you, and help you build a life that feels more connected, intentional, and genuinely your own.
The people, places & pets that keep me grounded.
